Japanese Film Festival

A small slice of Japan will come to Darwin when the Japanese Film Festival brings a curated selection of their program to the Top End.

Catch three films over the weekend including Mary and the Witch’s Flower, Gintama and In This Corner of the World.

Mary and the Witch’s Flower follows a young girl who is whisked away to a school of magic, but soon discovers that not all is as it seems.

Gintama was Japan’s third largest box office hit in 2017 and takes viewers into a world where aliens have invaded Edo Period Japan.

In This Corner of the World is director Katabuchi Sunao’s adaption of Kono Fumiyo’s comic of a young girl who married into a family in Hiroshima during the war.
