Make the trip to Tennant Creek as Desert Harmony Festival returns this Picnic Day long weekend with four vibrant days of music, dance, workshops and celebration in the heart of the Barkly.

Desert Harmony Festival is presented by Barkly Regional Arts, a not-for-profit hub for arts that collaborates with remote Indigenous communities to foster access, development and recognition of arts in the Barkly. And boy, do they have a bounty of it.
Tennant Creek comes alive to celebrate culture, community, and creativity in the heart of Barkly. This year’s theme, ‘Yarntarnpa Kululujju Nyinta (Living Together as One)’, acknowledges the diversity of the people in the Barkly region which continues to enrich the cultural fabric of the community.
This year’s line-up features some incredible music performances, with some absolute legends thrown in the mix.
Enjoy live tunes from Alice Kings, Amy James, Balaclava Peace Collective, Casii Williams, Coloured Stone, Drifting Clouds, Eleanor Jawurlngali, Emily Wurramara, Fejo & the Cruizers, Frank Yamma, Jameson Casson, Jason Lee Scott, Joey, Kobie Dee, Kulumindini Black Soil, Newboys Band, North Tanami Band, Ray Dimakarri Dixon, Roger Knox, The Country Gospel Band, Wampana Band, and Workcamp Band. Huge.
Aside from the music, there’s plenty to see and do with cultural dancing, boomerang carving, bush medicine, food stalls and a Karguru Nursery Tour.
