Wide Open Space Festival

Wide Open Space is a unique festival in Central Australia that offers three days of music, performance, art and workshops.

Held each year at the Ross River Resort, located about 85 kilometres east of Alice Springs, Wide Open Space promises an artistic smorgasbord of acts. Nestled into the East MacDonnell ranges at the mouth of the N’Dhala Gorge, the festival provides an utterly unique opportunity to experience the Central Australian landscape.

This year’s line-up includes popular Melbourne four-piece Hiatus Kiayote, Reuben Stone, Sietta Soundsystem, Chimpo (UK), Resin Moon, Red Dirt Crew and Kardajala Kirri-Darra among many others.

It's a diverse and noteworthy line up that has a respectable blend of international, interstate and local artists. The performance program includes burlesque, circus, roving artists and spoken word.

The festival took out the Live Music Event of the Year at last year’s National Live Music Awards and is bound to back this up with yet another entertaining and engaging program. It caters to all ages and covers a wide range of interests, with a selection of workshops you can participate in, a kids’ space, fully licensed bar and a market place for purchasing food and crafts.
