Get Your Geek on at GeeCon

THE ANNUAL FESTIVAL celebrating all things anime, comics and video games has a huge range of diverse events on the program for 2019.

There’s everything from cosplay competitions to speed dating – what more could you ask for?

There’s plenty of activities including Geektacular Playhouse, presented by our friends at City of Darwin Libraries and LAUNCH Darwin – a free activity space for ticket holders, with live drawing demos by local artists, cosplay costume exhibit, Tech Zone, badge making, a reading lounge and more.

One annual highlight is the Cosplay Competition. You’ve still got time to craft your costume and show your creativity. There are categories for under 16s, newcomers, plus the coveted Best in Show.

Don’t go too rouge though – the judges will be looking for accuracy and knowledge of the character you’re portraying and craftsmanship.
