Heads Up! Youth Forum

The year's Heads Up Youth Forum aims to get young people thinking about the future. In a bold way.

The theme of ‘using your strengths and unleashing the entrepreneur’ features a line-up of inspirational speakers including small business people and young Territorians, including National Youth Week Ambassador for the Darwin, Palmerston and Darwin Rural Region Jessie Spargo.

Dance fitness entrepreneur Kerryn Luby, who last year won an NT Telstra Micro Business award, joins business owner Avon Collis and health and wellbeing coach Sian Howell to deliver some how-to inspiration.

Held at the Mantra Hotel, the day-long forum costs $30, and there’s a limited number of scholarships available to help cover costs.

Katherine singer-songwriter Serina Pech performs for the crowd, and participants take part in activities that get them thinking about enhancing mental health and wellbeing, improving their skills, friendships and sense of community.

The forum is for people aged 15-25 years and organised by a committee made up of young people from community organisations including Headspace, Darwin Red Cross, Darwin High School, Multicultural Youth NT and UN Youth NT.

Who knows what future entrepreneurs will be unleashed at this year’s forum?
