Evening Reads: Dead Man’s Cell Phone
BROWN’S MART THEATRE’S popular Evening Reads program returns this month with Dead Man’s Cell Phone, written by Sarah Ruhl.
When Jean answers the phone of a dead stranger, she finds herself embroiled in the bizarre details of the man’s complicated life.
Dead Man’s Cell Phone is a heart-warming and hilarious play about idolising the dead, the invasiveness of modern technology, and the strange ways in which grief and love can intermingle.
This first instalment of Evening Reads is directed by Thomas Midena, and features local talents Christina Brown, Lexie Gregory, Matthew Rowe and Sarah Reuben.
The script-in-hand play reading series is held once a month until November. Check it out!
