SIMPLY THE BEST

HAVE YOU EVER wished to wind back the clock and see a legendary rock ‘n’ roll show? Well, here’s your chance to experience the powerful energy of a live performance in a true tribute to a music icon, as Tina: The Ultimate Tribute to the Queen of Rock 'n' Roll energises the Top End stage for one night only.

By Jenna Hoare

South African-born lead singer Caroline Borole says she’s prepared her whole life to bring that well-known, big and bold energy to audiences in celebration of one of the greatest female rock 'n' roll singers of all time.

“Tina Turner influenced me as an artist growing up … I resonated with Tina because she was so very different. She became sort of a part of me, growing in my musicality.”

Barole recently touched down on Aussie soil as part of a 10-piece band for their first non-stop tour around the country.

“We’ve been to Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne [so far] … I’ve always loved hearing about Australia but experiencing it is something else. This will be our first time in Darwin,” she says.

“We are a huge band because it’s Tina – you either go big or go home. We’ve got bass, we’ve got guitar and keyboard, and saxophone, we’ve got two amazing vocalists who are beautiful singers and powerful singers in their own right, and we’ve got amazing dancers."

The audience can expect beautiful, big energy with the promise of Tina’s classic hits lighting up the room. “It’s high energy, it’s dancing, it’s singing, it’s memories for people who grew up with Tina Turner and have watched some of her shows,” Barole says.

“You’re going to have a good time.”
