The Fast Five - Z-Star Trinity

British-Trinidadian artist, multi-instrumentalist and producer, Zee Gachette, has teamed up with Aussie musicians Beck Flatt and Boi Crompton to form the power trio known as Z-Star Trinity. They’re headed to the Rails for a night of epic music.

Gachette answered The Fast Five this month.

What’s the first album you ever bought?
Prince and the Revolution, Purple Rain on cassette. I was living in Trinidad then and, yes, I still have it somewhere!

If you could see any artist or band – living or dead – this weekend, who would it be?
The Doors. I love the musicality melodies, poetry the crazy blues vibe – I’m a huge fan. I’d take my drummer lover Beck Flatt.

Whose posters did you have stuck to the wall as a teenager?
Hendrix, Bob Marley, Lisa Bonet, Prince, INXS, Michael Jackson, The Cure, Midnight Oil.

What song would you like played at your funeral?
Electric Light Orchestra’s ‘The Whale’.

Finish this sentence. The thing people would be surprised to know about me…
is my electro-soul alter ego, Lady Z/Slowtrainsou.
