Jon Stevens is hitting the road for a best of tour, performing a back catalogue jam-packed with smash hits.
Considered as one of the country’s premier artists, Stevens is a regular visitor to the Top End, dropping by less than 12 months ago with good friends Kate Cebrano and Icehouse to perform at One Tropical Day. His devotion to his Territory followers sees him back this month with the tour that fans have been asking him to do for years.
Playing all the tunes you’d expect from his time with Noiseworks, INXS and The Dead Daisies – as well as his solo work – fans of the smash hit Jesus Christ Superstar won’t be disappointed either, with Stevens reprising his role as Judas to sing some of the most popular songs from the musical.
“While I can’t play every song, as there are way too many, I have chosen my favorites and I think fans will love it,” says Stevens.
With songs like ‘Welcome to the World’, ‘Lock N Load’, ‘R.I.P. Millie’, ‘Don’t Change’ and Superstar, the show is guaranteed to delight. But it’s not just Stevens’ favourites that will make the cut.
“Once we start touring I’m sure the fans will have their say in adding to the setlist.”
For Stevens, the best part of the job is getting out on the road and connecting with fans.
“I will continue to create and experiment and do my very best every time I climb on the stage and share with the fans a moment in time that you only get when you see a performer live.”
