Territory brothers Levi and Aaron VanderAa left the Territory three and a half years ago to set up base in Newcastle, but they’re back to play on home turf at The Rails this month.
What was the first concert you ever went to?
The first concert we ever went to we performed at. It was 'The Big Gig' right next to Brown’s Mart on the Darwin Council lawns. We were 10 and 11 but prior to this our mother took us to numerous arts and cultural events around Darwin as we were growing up where we experienced all sorts of music and arts.
What’s your favourite album of all time?
Easy choice, Cat Empire by The Cat Empire. It's Australian, it's fun, it makes you dance, it's a party starter and it's our go to album every time we jump in the van for a long trip! Plus we love the South American influence on their sound.
My friends would describe me as...
The Paddle Pop Lion.
Whose posters did you have stuck to the wall when you were teenagers?
Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, AC/DC and Steve Vai. We still have the posters but don't have a bedroom wall to put them on. We live in a van and have spent the last 3 years touring Australia.
