If sinking in to a plush lounge with a tantalising tipple is your jam, Hilton Darwin is at your service, their new Palm Court Bar & Lounge now open for biz and ready to take your order.
The bar was redesigned and redeveloped as part of the renovations undertaken by Hilton Darwin last year, in addition to the adjacent PepperBerry Restaurant. The result? A luxurious, relaxed space that beckons guests to take a seat and drink it all in.
Hilton Darwin General Manager Markus Kaliss says he’s excited to share the space.
“After the very successful launch of our new PepperBerry Restaurant, we are now starting a number of very exciting special events in our new bar, and we are confident this will be very well received in the local market,” he says.
“While the bar is located inside the Hilton Darwin, we hope to attract our hotel guests as well as our fellow Territorians to experience a new and very cool bar in Darwin.”
Guests can enjoy an impressive selection of wines, in addition to a cocktail list that’s causing quite the stir on social media. Joey Folkersma is Hilton Darwin’s Food & Beverage Duty Manager, and says there are some special concoctions on the menu.
“Our brand new cocktail list includes a piña colada menu that makes us like no other. The original was invented in the Caribe Hilton, and this is our salute to the man himself, Ramon “Monchito” Marrero. These drinks are all inspired by his piña colada, and some perhaps aren’t what you might expect!”
The Scottish Colada and Zombie Coladas are two of the offerings on this list, featuring ingredients such as hickory smoked pineapple and passionfruit – even fire!
