New Tastes at Pavonia Place
Popular Nightcliff restaurant Pavonia Place greets 2015 with a new chef and a brand new menu.
“Our new head chef is Shane Ortis from South Australia,” says owner Renee Flis. “I have hit the kitchen team jackpot in the sense that our previous Head Chef Damien Milzewski has opted to stay on as Sous Chef and we have retained our Apprentice Chef George Edwards. Together I believe they make a formidable team.”
The new team have created a new menu to suit the current season: “It features fresh light dishes to compliment the humid weather,” Flis explains, “The new dishes also encourage the 'shared plate' style of dining, which seems to be growing in popularity.”
As for must-trys? Flis recommends gin and tonic sorbet oysters for starters and the Pork Belly main: “The combination of roast kolrabi, roast peach and cauliflower puree with the Pork is a wonderfully surprising flavour combination.”
