Yes Way, Staycay

AH, TRAVEL. Put your hand up if you miss being able to jump on a plane to lands far away? Yep, us too.

But if there’s been one silver lining over the past year, it’s that we’ve been able to explore our very own magical backyard – gifted, if you’ve been quick enough, with travel vouchers to traipse across the Territory.

Add to this hotels and motels crafting staycation packages for locals, and you have yourself options, friends. Great options at that.

In exciting news, after almost one year of closure, DoubleTree by Hilton Esplanade Darwin has flung open its doors, accepting guests keen to relax by the esplanade.

As part of the travel voucher initiative, they’re offering a one-night stay, a full buffet breakfast for two adults, and a credit voucher of $100 to be spent at one of five local establishments such as Hanuman, Sea Darwin and 00Seven Jetski Adventures. Nice.

So if you deserve a little break, without having to jump on a plane or combat jet lag, a stay by the sea could be just the ticket.
