On the Fringe of Greatness
Discover the weird, wild and wacky world of Darwin Fringe Festival with the official 2019 program launch at Mayfair Gallery.
With more than 100 shows on offer, from participatory dance flash mobs to comedy to burlesque to theatre, there’s something to satiate true Fringe fanatics and lovers of art.
Darwin Fringe Festival Co-director Hannah Illingworth says the 2019 program showcases the talents of locals, and is something Darwinites and Territorians can be proud of.
“The program looks so juicy! There are heaps of unique and quirky voices that I hope Territorians will feel celebrated by. It’s a bit cheeky and completely community-orientated,” she says.
“We’ve got some real weird stuff that I think will bring people out of their comfort zones, but we have been working super hard to assure we continue to create a totally safe space for artists and audiences. There’ll be so many fun events where you can just have a boogie and a bevvy.”
