Territory Day artists announced

This year’s Territory Day entertainment line-up has finally been revealed.

Darwin revellers will get the chance to see Crowded House’s Neil Finn supported by home-grown hip-hop star Baker Boy, Stevie Jean and Rachel Rachel at Mindil Beach.

Moving south, Katherinites won’t miss out with pop stars The Veronicas headlining the show, supported by Caiti Baker and Craig Phillips at the Katherine Showgrounds.

Alice Springs festivities include the Rogue Traders and Mallrat, supported by Battle of the School Band winners Juice and Ceenah at Anzac Oval.

Celebrations at Tennant Creek Showgrounds will reveal the stories in the desert stars through a journey of music, story and projection – a unique community and cultural celebration in the heart of the Territory.

Tourism and Culture Minister Lauren Moss says Territory Day is a great opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate our lifestyle.

“Celebrating the significance of the occasion, the Territory Day events are opportunities for people and communities to come together to celebrate everything we love about living in the Territory – our lifestyle, the people, the landscape, the culture, our achievements and our diverse communities,” she says.

“It’s wonderful to have such well-known international, national and Territory artists, as well as emerging and community artists participating in our celebrations throughout the Territory.”

Free family friendly events will take place in 16 locations across the NT, including Tiwi Islands, Galiwinku, Yuendumu.
