It’s March 31, 1943, and lyricist Lorenz Hart is at the bar. It’s the opening night of Oklahoma!, the new show by his former creative partner, Richard Rodgers. Knowing he should absolutely avoid drinking, Hart sits frustrated, yearning for a tipple and contemplating both his professional and personal future.
