Outerlands

Cass works several jobs to afford a tiny San Francisco apartment. After sleeping with co-worker Kalli, Cass agrees to look after her daughter, Ari, for a few days. When Kalli fails to return, Cass is left caring for Ari and their growing bond brings painful memories of his own.
