From Mangroves to Mudflats - Artist in Residence Exhibition from Aly de Groot

From Mangroves to Mudflats is a navigation of places, familiar and new, emerging from Aly de Groot’s time living and working between Darwin and Groote Eylandt. Experimentations with plant pigments and cyanotype processes (sun printing), along with weaving with marine debris have resulted in new works which emulate the sea life and coastal environments found in the proximity of the Arafura Sea, weaving the tragic tale of sea life in the plastic age.
