Evening Reads - Fat Pig

Brown's Mart's play reading series, Evening Reads, kicks off in 2021 with Darwin-based producer Sarah Rueben taking on Fat Fig by Neil Labute.

Fat Pig exposes the underside of human behaviour, the almost casual cruelty that one person can inflict upon another under the guise of fat phobia. It provides commentary on our obsession with the "perfect" body and challenges the audience’s own feelings on beauty and the pressure to conform.
