After being removed from the traveling circus, a curious Gray Sardinian donkey named EO begins a trek across the Polish and Italian countryside, experiencing the highs and lows of society, all the while never for a moment losing his innocence. Through stunning visuals and a haunting score, master filmmaker Jerzy Skolimowski invites the audience to see the world through EO's eyes, exploring the good and bad of humanity through EO’s distinctive non- human perspective.
