Profile – Saskwatch
Melbourne indie-soul outfit Saskwatch bring their national tour to the Railway Club this month. Fronting the funky nine-piece is Nkechi Anele:
What was the first concert you ever went to?
The first concert I went to was The Living End playing free at Federation Square in Melbourne. I was a little late to the concert game – unless you include Humphry B Bear at Highpoint Shopping Centre.
Your favourite album of all time?
Sound & Color by Alabama Shakes. Something about this album resonates with me and I think it will always be a classic album.
Finish this sentence. My friends would describe me as...
Weird.
Whose posters did you have stuck to the wall when you were a teenager?
I wasn’t really allowed to have posters on my wall when I was growing up. But if I had been allowed there would have been Destiny’s Child, TLC and The Spice Girls for sure. No shame!
Creative writing challenge – describe your sound in three words.
Vibrant, alive and true.
